Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Finland: Q4 2024 Review

In the fourth quarter of 2024, several navigation and maps applications on iOS in Finland saw varying trends in downloads and active user engagement. Here, we explore the performance of the top five applications in this category.

Google Maps experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting with 3.1K at the beginning of the quarter and peaking at 3.4K in mid-October. Downloads then showed a gradual decline, stabilizing around 2.2K to 2.8K towards the end of December. Meanwhile, weekly active users saw a slight decline from approximately 499K to 478K.

Google Earth displayed an increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, with numbers rising from 546 to 815 in late December. Its active user base fluctuated slightly, peaking at over 8.4K in early October and ending the quarter with about 7.4K active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic began Q4 with downloads around 598, experiencing minor fluctuations throughout the quarter. Downloads reached 676 by late December. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 5.6K throughout the period.

Karttaselain - Maastokartta saw a decrease in downloads over the quarter, starting from 876 and dropping to 402 by year-end. Revenue trends were more varied, peaking in mid-November at $2.8K before stabilizing around $1.1K to $1.5K.

Fintraffic Mobiili had a notable spike in downloads in late October with 759, followed by another surge in mid-November at 1.2K. Despite these spikes, the app concluded December with a decrease in downloads to 303.
